Is Senator Obama Really What He Says He Is?

Let me begin by saying that I like the concept of Barack Obama. I like the things people believe that Senator Obama stands for and for the change people want in this country. The people of the United States are desperate for a leader to change the current status quo and to change what we have beome since September 11, 2001. However, are we just seeing what we want to see in Senator Obama and believing he is something people desperately want? And is Senator Obama captilizing on these feelings to catapult himself into the White House? I am growing leary of a person who is letting people so easily believe he is Martin Luther King Jr. and John F. Kennedy all roled into one; and Senator Obama doesn’t miss a chance in speaches to lead people to thinking he is one of these great men. Isn’t this just a decpetive tactic to get votes? Senator Obama supports the ideas of these great men, but at this point in his life does he have the credentials to boast that he is anything like either one? What else concerns me is this major shift to the left in the Democratic Party; specifically it is Howard Dean who supports Barack Obama not the moderates who brougt the Democratic Party to victory in recents years. It is the same left wing of the Democratic Party who has lost two major presidential elections (which should have been easily won) and has given us and the world George W. Bush. And when is the left wing of the party going to answer for that?
